Photographic Exploration

Taking advantage of the low light at TwinPeaks, I decided to do a light painting of my buddy's ride. Well. when I say ''low light'' there were other sources of light that could have been darker for a better result. However, for a first attempt it didn't turn out too bad. When I re-visit this particular type of shot I will do a bit more planning on my part. That really is the biggest part of light painting and indeed photography in general. This shot was achieved with a keyring l.e.d light and the patience of the good motorists of TwinPeaks that night. As for camera settings I suggest a slow shutter speed of course around 10-30 seconds. Aperture was at F/22 and I did try others but this was to my liking the best, sometimes it comes down to personal taste. Also a low ISO for the least noise possible around 100-200 would be your best bet I've had in my experience. Photography jargon aside, we had a great time exploring all the different possibilities of light and it certainly gave us more inspiration for other projects to come.
You can see my ghost!
